Wash your strawberries then pat them dry very well. It is crucial that they are very well dried or else the chocolate will not stick at all.
As a topping you can prepare some crushed nuts or coconuts on the side but they are not necessary.
Use a microwave to simplify the process of melting the chocolate. You will have to microwave your chocolate in 30 second intervals, and stirring in between each, until the chocolate has fully melted. Its important to stir so that the chocolate does not burn.
Hold a strawberry by the stem and dip it into the melted chocolate, lift and twist slightly, letting the excess chocolate fall back into the bowl.
At this point you may also dip your strawberries in the coconut or nuts, and place on the parchment paper.
Repeat this with the rest of your strawberries.
For an extra design, you can melt some white chocolate in the same way as before using your microwave, then using a fork dip it in the melted chocolate and drizzle all over the strawberries.
Chill the strawberries until the chocolate sets for about 15 minutes in the fridge.
