The sunlight glinting off glacial peaks, their icy forms captured in the whisper-thin curves of crystal, this is the essence of "Ultima Thule", the visionary collection where Finnish designer Tapio Wirkkala shattered the boundaries of glassblowing. Each Ultima Thule goblet is a miniature frozen world. The rounded base, reminiscent of a snowbound hill, rests on three delicate "ice peaks" that appear to shimmer and float. As light dances through the textured surface, a mesmerizing interplay of light and shadow unfolds, echoing the ever-changing brilliance of a winter aurora.
